Polish Fly poster

Polish movie posters continue to be a rich source of inspiration and amusement for me (i think this one looks a bit like neil).

Sigma DP-1

I don’t NEED one, just want…

This little beauty has the same sensor as the Sigma DSLR, the same high resolution, yet is instantly pocketable.

oh… and it looks cool, hadn’t… umm… noticed that…

The site is quite nice too, although you may want to skip the intro…

iWood

Unfortunately engraveyourbook.com is no longer available dam you harmful gasses! On the up side their creators are now turning their hand to other products like these rather lovely iWood cases for anyone lucky enough to have an iPhone:

Engraved iWood rear

Engraved iWood front

Nice, but still not as nice as the Moleskines, I would say that I don’t have an iPhone

All those little boxes

Friday, July 18th, 2008

There is definitely a slight touch of autism in my character. I collect things i don’t need, expensive things, i write on blogs, then i read the same blogs, day in day out…

… and then i love airplane meals… it’s not the taste, it’s the break from the boredom and all those little containers to open and rearrange…

Now i can indulge my ‘quirk’ with this site

The best bit about this site is discovering the airlines you’d expect to be worst, are often much better than the big concerns. take note BA, Tajikistan Airlines spanked you, that’s caviar!

Boss(a)

Bossa.net has more album covers than you can shake a… ummm… hi-hat.. at…

I have no idea what it is, someone’s collection? a shop? Not sure i care either, there’s some awesome stuff on here.

Henson

Whilst we’re on the Kermit thing, I bought this…

I don’t know if it was the apple fanboy in me… or the henson one… or the kermit one…

Supreme

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I’m a little ‘late’ with this one as the richardson/kermit/supreme collab has been out and about since march, but i just wanted to share, just in case someone out there has been living under a stone.

It has to be said, i couldn’t think of a cooler combo… and then they throw in sabbath…

Setting the scene

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I love film titles, i think it stems from my love of Sci-Fi of the B movie variety, the drama of ‘They Came from Beyond Space’ (which i was lucky enough to see in 3D) or ‘The Blob’.

So over-the-top. So darn exciting.

So… I enjoyed trawling through the above and a whole load more at ‘Steven Hill’s Movie Title Screens’

We’ve already checked our studio favorites…

but i have to go with:

The Morning After

Friday, June 20th, 2008

We were talking about John Wyndham today, well… i was banging on about him… and his triffids…

banging on about how his UK specific science fiction niche is much more fascinating to me than any number of gibson tales.

blah.

the upshot is, i did some googling and found all manner of interesting covers, posters, etc. etc.

Etsy

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

I like the idea of etsy, i’ve never actually bought anything from there, but i’m glad it exists.

Especially when they’re selling little Nathan dolls.
