Another beauty courtesy of Andy, crazy filming technique employed here -I really thought it was miniatures and Matchbox cars for the first few seconds – loads of comments on Vimeo about how the guy achieved the effect. Nice skills.

Oliver Postgate

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Yesterday was tinged with sadness for me… The morning news told me that Oliver Postgate had sadly passed away.

Postgate was a hero of mine, not only for the beautiful and wonderous shows he created, but… well… because he followed his own path. The clangers, his reaction to a request to create a series based on the recent moon landings being case in point.

Very sad day indeed.

There are some rather touching comments here:

Really love this, particularly the modular way everything comes together. Great skills.

Little Lego movies made with delightful care by Oblong Pictures. Brilliant!
